Ledgers Annual 2016

If you want to know what happened in Australian comics during 2015, what comics came out, which were the best, who made them and where you might be able to get them, then this magazine should be your first stop.

This 52 page full colour magazine was produced to accompany the 2016 Ledger Awards, held on April 15, 2016 at All Star Comics. It contains an interview with gold winner, Sutu for Neomad, by Emmet O'Cuana, and short profiles of the five silver winners: Anders and the Comet (Gregory Mackay), Oglaf (Trudy Cooper and Doug Bayne), The Diemenois (Jamie Clennett), Black Magick (Nicola Scott and Greg Rucka), Fly the Colour Fantastica (ed. Alisha Jade, Vikki Ong and Eri Kashima), and three bronze Ledgers winners; Evermore (Isobel Carmody and Daniel Reed), Cartoonist (Neale Blanden) and Fabliaux' own Art Is A Lie (Carol Wood and Susan Butcher).

It also contains profile essays on the wonderful Bernard Caleo, awarded a Platinum Ledger for his lifelong service to Australian Comics, and essays on the two Ledger of Honour winners, Peter Chapman and Syd Nicholls.

It is intended that this annual will be published to accompany the awards each year, becoming a record and a keepsake for future generations of comics collectors, fans and researchers. It is free for the price of postage to wherever you are.
